Saalasti Rails’ mobile maintenance service has evolved step by step to meet the operational demands of rolling stock maintenance. In October, the service gains new strength as our fourth service van is deployed. 

Mobile maintenance is a key part of Saalasti Rails’ maintenance strategy, emphasizing rapid response, mobility, and maintaining fleet availability. The service enables maintenance tasks to be performed directly at the location of the rolling stock – without transfers or separate transport arrangements. 

Operational Readiness and Resource Management 

The introduction of the new service van improves the regional coverage and responsiveness of our maintenance teams. Rolling stock failures can occur anywhere, and mobile maintenance offers a flexible way to respond quickly and efficiently. 

The vans are equipped to support a wide range of repair and maintenance tasks in field conditions. This reduces dependency on fixed service points and allows resources to be allocated directly to operational needs.
