Personnel News: Changes in the Company’s Management

After successfully leading Saalasti Rails for more than three years, CEO Vesa Viljakainen has decided to step down from his position and move on to new challenges in his career.
Commenting on his decision, Vesa Viljakainen states: “It has been a privilege to lead the company and its talented personnel. I leave the position with a positive mind and confidence in the future.”
Chairman of the Board Timo Saalasti warmly thanks Vesa for his valuable work: “We want to thank Vesa for his excellent work in the cockpit of a technology company. He has steered complex R&D projects from battery locos to fully electric track maintenance vehicles. At the same time, he has created us a significant service and locomotive rental business.”
The company’s Board of Directors has initiated the recruitment process for a new CEO. During the transition period, the role will be carried out by Group CEO Tomi Saalasti as Acting CEO, ensuring the smooth continuity of operational activities.
We warmly wish Vesa success in his future endeavors and once again thank him for the excellent cooperation.
